That is the poet, Mary Oliver ... and I believe her dog Percy? She has a great series of poems about him, my favorite being "I Ask Percy How I Should Live My Life" Love, love, love, say Percy. And run as fast as you can along the shining beach, or the rubble, or the dust.
Then, go to sleep. Give up your body heat, your beating heart. Then, trust.
Oh Lis, this really touched me. How wonderful! I have just entered the world of Mary Oliver and the fact that she writes poems about Percy makes me love her even more.
